Exciting news about upcoming features π
Cabby is evolving to deliver an even more immersive flight simulation experience. With a refreshed interface and a suite of new features, users can expect deeper realism, richer passenger interactions, and smarter announcements.

π New layoutβ
To accommodate the growing feature set, Cabby will receive a layout refresh. The new design follows modern industry standards for clarity and usability, ensuring that both new and experienced users can navigate with ease. This update is an ongoing process, with continuous improvements planned to further enhance the user experience.

π Passengers systemβ
Cabby will receive a dynamic passenger system. For each flight, a unique list of passengers is generated, each with individualized characteristics such as nationality, age, and even their history of previous flights. The system leverages a database of over 125,000 flights (flown by other Cabby users) to simulate realistic passenger journeysβespecially for those with connecting flights, whose next destination is determined based on real user flight data.

Each passenger also has a "Fear of Flying" indicator, calculated from factors like age, gender, and nationality. This won't change much during the flight.
The second indicator - "Comfort Level" - can be influenced by flight events such as turbulence, sudden G-force changes, hard banks, or delays. The passenger list is accessible from the flight page and can be opened in a new window for a more detailed overview.

You'll be able to view ticket numbers, seat assignments, and even digital boarding passes for each passenger.

In the examples above, one feature is not presented: a summary of all "fear" events and which passengers were affected. This is still under development and will be available in the final version. This will allow us to track exactly which pilot behaviors caused a lot of fear and stress.
π Boarding screenβ
A new boarding screen feature will bring the airport experience directly into Cabby. Displayed on the main flight screen and optionally in a separate browser window (perfect for TVs or secondary displays), the boarding screen offers four layout options. It features the airline logo, destination city imagery, real-time weather (using METAR data), boarding times, and more.

π Gate announcementsβ
Gate announcements now add another layer of realism. As boarding progressesβfrom the initial call to the final boarding announcementβCabbyβs cabin crew will deliver updates with authentic echo effects, mimicking the acoustics of real airport terminals.
π Unusual eventsβ
Cabby introduces rare but memorable unusual event announcements. Whether a passenger is in labor or requires medical attention, the cabin crew may request assistance from onboard doctors. These unpredictable scenarios add drama and authenticity to flights and will be available to Cabby Lite or PRO subscribers.
π Holidays announcementsβ
With holiday-aware announcements, Cabby will recognize special occasions like Valentineβs Day or Independence Day, tailoring crew messages to reflect these events when flying in affected regions. This feature enhances immersion and is available with a subscription as well.
π Announcement transcriptionsβ
Never miss a word with the new announcement transcription feature. Every crew or captain message is logged and viewable, both on the main flight page and in a dedicated window for easier review. This helps users keep track of all spoken content throughout their flight.

π Bugfixesβ
Alongside these exciting features, Cabbyβs upcoming update addresses several bugs to improve stability, reliability, and overall user experience. Expect smoother operation and more consistent performance as part of this release. More details will be provided once the release is out.
